Carville rips Jeffries for meeting with Kushner: 'We don't want to f‑‑‑ with them'

Democratic strategist James Carville went after House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) over his recent meeting with President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. “One thing that I know and you know, these are a pack of crooks, and they're a pack of people that don't give a s‑‑‑ about the United States of America, and we don't want to f‑‑‑ with them unless we absolutely have to. No more meetings, no more bulls‑‑‑,” Carville said in a Monday clip of the “Politics War Room” podcast. The New York Times reported Sunday that Kushner and Jeffries met privately before the upcoming midterm elections to find common ground on issues such as housing, immigration and the cost of living. According to Jeffries, Kushner reached out to him first, and he accepted the invitation in order to talk about affordability. Jeffries also said that the Trump administration has received pressure from House Democrats on issues like tariffs, the Affordable Care Act, and nutritional assistance. On Monday, Jeffries, following backlash for his meeting with Kushner, wrote “no one from the Trump Cartel is getting a pass” in a post on the social platform X. “I shouldn’t have to say it, but I am. No one is going to get a pass,” he said. “We’re going to follow the facts, apply the law, and be guided by the Constitution beginning on day one.
