Dolly Parton's Imagination Library says it will keep sending free books to kids. Here's how to sign up

(NEXSTAR) – Dolly Parton's legacy will continue not only through her music, but through her foundation that sends free books to children in the U.S. and four other countries, regardless of their family's financial situation. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library first launched in 1995 as a way to send free books to young children in Sevier County, Tennessee, where Parton grew up. It his since grown immensely, and now serves 1 in 6 children in the U.S. who are under the age of 5. The Imagination Library will continue sending books to eligible children in Parton's absence, a spokesperson for the Dollywood Company confirmed to Nexstar. Families who sign up get a free, high-quality, age-appropriate book mailed to them every month. Kids can start receiving books in the mail as soon as they're born and until they turn 5. The program fully covers the cost of books and postage, regardless of the family's income. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library teams up with local partners to send books out, so you'll need to make sure they're operating in your area in order to start receiving them.
