The investment comes at a time when private equity groups are increasingly looking to sports for opportunities beyond traditional corporate assets. For EQT, the Storm deal builds on existing exposure through its ownership of IMG Academy , which gave the Stockholm-based firm an asset spanning athlete performance, sports science and youth development.
