Firefox Can Now Block Ads on iOS (but You Have to Enable It)

Firefox users on iOS can now get rid of a lot of ad noise when browsing on their mobile device. Mozilla is slowly rolling out native ad blocking , which you can enable once the tool is available on your account. According to Mozilla's support page detailing the new feature, Firefox will block third-party ad networks and exchanges along with many third-party ads served on websites at the network level. It will also block ad-related trackers, pop-ups, and overlays. The platform is still letting some ads through, though: For example, you'll still see ads in search results from engines like Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo, as well as sponsored content on the Firefox Home and New Tab pages. There may also be ads that aren't covered by the EasyList filter list. Of course, Firefox isn't the only browser to natively block ads on iOS. For example, both DuckDuckGo and Brave have built-in ad blocking in their mobile apps and also allow you to disable their own search ads. Note that ad-blocking functionality doesn't extend outside of the Firefox iOS app, but URL filters in iOS 26, along with a third-party app like Wipr 2, can block ads in other apps .
