Graham, Norman tied in South Carolina Senate poll

Sen. Darline Graham and Rep. Ralph Norman are neck and neck in a new survey, as voting concludes Tuesday to determine which Republican will be on the ballot in South Carolina's Senate race. The poll, which the Trafalgar Group conducted from Saturday through Monday, found that 47.9 percent of 1,031 respondents backed Graham, whom South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster (R) appointed to complete the term of her late brother, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.). Norman received support from 47.8 percent of respondents, while 4.4 percent of respondents were undecided. The survey had a margin of error of 2.9 percentage points. Voters in the Palmetto State will determine Tuesday whether Darline Graham or Norman will face off against Democrat Annie Andrews, a physician, in November. The two Republicans advanced to Tuesday’s runoff via their top-two finish in the GOP primary Aug. 11. Graham has the backing of President Trump, who ventured to South Carolina last week to stump for the incumbent senator. Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC has also spent more than $827,000 in support of Graham ahead of the runoff.
