Live updates: Trump rallies voters in upstate New York after Putin diesel deal announcement
President Trump Later is holding a rally in upstate New York after focusing his crunch-time campaign blitz for GOP candidates in red states. He's speaking in Syracuse, N.Y., to give a last-minute boost to Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman — whom nonpartisan election forecaster Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ) gave a 10 percent chance of winning as of Thursday night. Within the past week, the president has made stops in Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama and Nebraska — all of which he claimed in 2024. This weekend, he'll be in Tennessee and Alabama, with a rally in Alaska next week. The visit comes after Trump announced Russia will supply the U.S. and global market with diesel amid soaring fuel prices. “I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. The president also set in motion an administrative panel Friday to investigate mortgage fraud allegations against Federal Reserve board of governors member Lisa Cook in his latest effort to fire her. The inquiry will include a hearing at the White House on Nov. 5 that Cook “shall” attend to answer questions from the committee, Trump said in a written memo. Follow live below.
