Oasis Urges Kakaku.com to Withdraw Support for EQT’s Buyout Bid

Activist fund Oasis, which holds a 19.5% stake in Kakaku.com, said it does not intend to tender its stock into EQT’s offer of ¥3,570 per share because the price is below a rival bid from Bain Capital and LY Corp . The Bain-LY consortium’s current offer is ¥3,640 per share, although the bid hinges on securing support from Kakaku investor KDDI Corp .
