Watch live: Trump takes midterm campaign push to deep-blue New York

President Trump will take his midterm message to Syracuse, N.Y., Friday evening, rallying Republicans as the party looks to flip the governor’s mansion and make gains in next month’s elections. Trump is expected to campaign alongside GOP gubernatorial nominee Bruce Blakeman, who is looking to unseat Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul in a state where Republicans have struggled to win statewide for decades. The New York stop is a detour from Trump's recent swing through red states, where Republicans are scrambling to protect their congressional majorities amid troubling midterm polling. The president is also expected to make campaign stops in Tennessee, Ohio and Alaska in the coming days. The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. EDT. Watch live above.
