Women's transfer rankings for 2026-27 season

Multiple Authors Email Print The women's college basketball transfer portal opened Monday with a tidal wave of activity. Now more than 1,300 players are looking for new homes. Programs such as Ole Miss and TCU that have embraced the portal the most over the past few years have already added some transfers, but most players have yet to pick their next destinations. Expect that to be the next wave in the coming days. The portal closes April 20, but players' decisions for their next school can still come after that. Iowa State 's Audi Crooks , the nation's second-leading scorer, remains the headliner in the portal, but many other difference-making talents entered in the past few days. Some programs have been decimated with defections. Georgia lost nine players after letting go of coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson. Kim Caldwell at Tennessee is now tasked with replacing her entire roster after every possible returner entered the portal. She also lost the No. 2 recruit in the country, Oliviyah Edwards, who had committed to the Lady Vols but has requested a release from her national letter of intent . Every player from Caldwell's No. 2-rated recruiting class from a year ago is gone, though Caldwell has added Liberty 's 5-foot-9 Avery Mills , who scored 15.9 points per game in CUSA.
